Today in the ongoing saga of Russian tourist visa applications…
Last week, I dropped off our printed Russian tourist visa applications and passports at the Russian Visa Application Centre in London. Today I collected our passports which contained our approved Russian tourist visas. Success!
I opened the envelopes prior to leaving the application center so that I could take care of any issues immediately and the first thing I noticed was that our photos were not embedded in the sticker visa. The specifications regarding the size and style of the photograph were so detailed in the application and yet, the photo does not exist on the visa! Just another “what the hell” question in the months-long process of obtaining a tourist visa for Russia.
I asked a representative if the photos should be embedded on the sticker visa and he grumbled, “No. Everyone always asks me that”.

Centerfolds?
Most definitely. If my Texas driver’s license confused them, then a Russian tourist visa would blow their minds.
