Things I’ve learned as an American expat in the UKoGBaNI #14

Beer

Not all beer in the UK is served at room temperature.

In fact, no beer is served at room temperature. Ales are served slightly cooler than room temperature and all other drafts/taps and bottled beer are served cold, just like in the US.

Ale taps have big long handles that look like wooden clubs like these:

Lagers and other tap beers like cider look similar to taps in the US.

  1. Kinda disapointed the cider example didn’t have Bulmers in it.
