Things I’ve learned as an American expat in the UKoGBaNI #15

Ice

Drinks are usually iceless.

Americans love ice cubes and very cold drinks. Europeans hate ice cubes and prefer ambient drinks. Abroad, alcoholic drinks usually contain a couple of ice cubes, however, drinks like Coke will generally be served without ice and often with a lemon.

After nearly five years abroad, I never lost my love of icy drinks but my teeth did become very sensitive to ice and I only learned this after moving back to the US.
